The scales showed me down a bit....so I'm good. :-)
Actually I'm better than good. I'm surprised! Yesterday at work I continued to resist that red velvet cake. Ohhh it smelled sooo darn good. And let me tell you, I smelled it ALL freakin' day. My co0workers at cake for breakfast....and cake for lunch! I didn't have any! But that is why I'm not surprised that my weight was good. Last night we went out with some friends to a spanish restaurant. Ohhh my word. I got the loma saltado (yeah yeah yeah...I don't eat much beef...and this is a beef meal...but ohhhh was it ever good..with lots of veggies)...which is served with black beans and rice. For an appetizer we got some Papusa....extra yummy. This is a Spanish restaurant...but they do have some tex mex stuff on the menu. So of course they put the chips and salsa dip stuff on the table at the onset of the meal. I won't lie...I had a few chips. Probably no more than 5. (huge huge victory). Our friends are regulars at the restaurant...so the waitress brought out a piece of milk infused cake for us to split as a comp. I ate ONE bite and that was it! Everyone else got drinks....I stuck with water. I think I did pretty good.
I'm excited....I'm going to be swinging into training for my bike event and I'm determined that I'm doing to drop these icky pounds while doing it!

Good going at work and the restaurant. Well done on seeing that scale go down too! Keep that momentum right into the weekend!
I don't think you did pretty good, I think you did REAL good yesterday. And what a wonderful reward to see the scale drop to dop it off.
You made me remember my trip to Mexico City in the mid 80's when you mentioned the real Spanish restaurant. They put two bowls of salss and corn chips on the table before they even took our order. I asked what the difference in the two colors was (one was red and one was green). The waitor said the red is hot and the green is hotter. And thats the only flaver it had at all. OMG the hot was hotter than anything I had ever had and I love spicy hot stuff. I had never had true Mexican food before my trip down there. I hadn't realized that Tex-Mex was what I was used to. I found that most of the food down there really has no flavor at all. Just spicy and spicier. And Montazuma's revenge hit me when I got home. I was careful not to drink the water but I forgot about the fresh veggies being washed in it.
Good for you for resisting, it's so hard to do. have a great weekend
You can do it!!!! Have a great weekend.
You did a great job considering all the things you could have had :)
Hey! No harm in a little beef now and then... I had some last week... got a little extra iron in... Beef has it's own set of nutritional benefits... ha! Beef benefits..!
Eating out is my biggest challenge. So, I think you did really well!
